my story about Solutions For The Net Scam

I spent many months and many dollars on marketing for my online business. I've tried search engine optimization through, I also use articlemarketer and Amazingbillboards, and they worked fine, but there is this one that stands out. And I must tell you my story about solutionsforthenet aka s4tn.

I first heard of solutions for the net back in February 2008, now what I saw was a great idea. Boy was I wrong. They have a very powerful program. Its software that is downloaded onto approx. 30,000,000 computers in North America. 30 million. My initial reaction was that this is pretty cool stuff. In the fine print they have no way of prooving how many computers actually have this software still on them and how many times it has been downloaded by the same computer.

Now I thought about it, and since amazingbillboards and articlemarketer all worked,I thought this dotless domain would be fine and knowing that you need to spend money on advertising to make a fortune online. I decided to go for it. I was quite excited and since they provide a impression counter I checked it periodically. But because I have so much traffic to my site, I never really looked into it until the end of March 2008. 7 weeks after purchasing Solutionforthenet, aka. s4tn aka. Solutions for the net, I found that I had about 10,000 impressions per search term. My search terms with solutions for the net were "best online business" and "edc gold". Now when I got researching solutions for the net scams, I found very little, but I didnt look that hard.

I started to look at the ip addresses on the supplied tracker that solutionsforthenet aka s4tn provided me with and found that they were the same ones over and over again. Which got me to dig deeper, not one of these ip address' had come to my website. And of course I had to dig even deeper into the solutionsforthenet aka. solutions for the net scam. And what I found was the the customer service didnt want anything to do with me. Unlike with other companies, such as articlemarketer, amazingbillboards and they try to help, but with s4tn, it was different.

And our conversation went something like this. " I'm not getting any traffic from your $3000 worth of marketing" s4tn replied " We cannot make or force anyone to click on your website" then I said " Why would someone from the same IP address google the same keyphases a dozen times each and never visit the site?" They replied, " we cannot force anyone to visit your site, all our other customers are happy with our services"

I had had enough now, the going in circles from the solutions for the net aka. solutionsforthenet service department. I calmly said " If someone searches a term they are looking for that is a specific term like (EDC Gold) and never clicks on the (EDC Gold website) that comes up, even after searching the term a dozen times per day, you dont think there is something fishy about that." and of course you guessed the response " we cant force anyone to click on your website". I had one last comment for the solutionsforthenet representative who liked going in circles. " The terms EDC Gold, Best Online Business and make extra money have all been shown equally, well over 10,000 impressions each and youre telling me that not one person might have accidentally just maybe clicked on it?"

I now know after being told many times for the cost of $3000 that solutions for the net, solutionsforthenet, aka. s4tn cannot and will not force or bribe anyone to click on your website, no matter what. If you want my advice, take that $3000 and send it to me with your website address, and I guarantee 1 website hit. Which is more than you will receive from Solutionsforthenet, solutions for the net, aka s4tn. Does Dotless Domain WebMenu work... NO

Cloud Nine.....

Stay away from these guys, its the exact same thing, the problem with these scams is that they have a "shelf life" so if you know any more AKA's for S4TN aka solutions for the net aka solutionsforthenet aka web seach aka Cloud nine or usa seo pros or usaseopros then please leave it in the comments. I will add it to the article and get this onto the first page and at least we can slow them down a little bit. what a bunch of scammers !

YOU ARE RIGHT AN ABSOLUTE SCAM. I PAID THE $2985 BUT DID THE DILIGENCE CHECK TO LATE. THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY AND OFFER NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I HAVE INFORMED WELLS FARGO THEIR BANK AND THEY DON'T WANT TO HELP EITHER. THEN THEY GOT THE NERVE TO WONDER WHY THERE ARE SO MANY SCAMS WITH THEIR BANKS. I AM TO ENSURE THEIR NAME IS ALL OVER THE INTERNET.

Shawn 3 years ago

I can't believe usaseopros worked for you. They are scam artist also.

s4tn.com, usaseopros.com, cloud nine, bussiness development institute, webmenu,

They are all the same little crime ring.

I have done some research into USASEOPROS, I found that the websites you do get to the top page of are owened by them. I was false in stating it worked!

Also, I checked the traffic rankings on Alexa, and the total for the 3 different seach engines was about 30 visitors/month. TOTAL, so these 30 people are probably just the ones who paid usaseopros and are just checking themselves out on the first page. What a SCAM

William 3 years ago

UsaSeoPros is not affiliated or connected with s4th.com. Despite this, their so called Internet marketing program is riddled with problems and will NOT help you gain traffic to your site. Their sales team banks on the misinformation that being on the first page in a search engine will make a site money. This is the basis of the program and a clear indication that they really don't understand seo. Here is a simple breakdown of how they work: 1. they take your money 2. they generate a list of keywords that have a very high probability of ranking well, but are going to recieve little or no searches on the major search engines. 3. They build a shadow domain, or as they like to say an "optimazation page" loading full of of the keywords and pseudo human readable content. This page is a low quality doorway or magnet page that links back to your original page. So in the chance that a person does find you in the search index, they would have to first go through this page in order to get to your site. 4. They measure your site and the performance of the service based on ranks from several search engines, many being low traffic search engines and even some that are owned by the company. (eg, Jooper, Kajoe and FSN. all are registered under KJR equipment LLC in the whois listings.) 5. When the metrics that are given is not enough to substantiate the value to the customer, and a customer wants to cancel or charge back, They simple state their policy, NO CHARGE BACKS. There guarantee states that if the ranks ( again not a good determination of traffic to your site) do not meet the minimum for that package, which usually always will, due to the fact that: lengthy and excessive search phrases means little to no competition in search engine, which makes it extremely easy for a page to rank. And again they are using there own search engines in the reports.

Usa Seo Pros is a scam and should be avoided. This is a company who misleads unknowing customers into thinking that the service they provide is helping the customer's marketability, yet fails to show any kind proof of ROI or value. They should be considered a fraud and should be liable for their actions.

I too got caught up in the "Dotless Domain" scam. I also was excited, thinking that I would get traffic to my nutritional cleanse website.

They got $1095.00 of my money before I saw the light. The very next day, they used my email address again to offer me a "job from home" getting paid to click on websites and "You don't have to join or buy anything, just stay on the site for more than a minute."

I am a member of PrePaid Legal so it cost me nothing to have my lawyer send them a letter. Did that & they will not credit my credit card.

Their webmenu search bar did not work. I typed my "key words" businesses from home, and the search results brings up the company website but says: "The associate cannot be found."

Also, after installing Dotless Domain's webmenu, I would get booted off each time that I went online. It would not allow me to browse on the internet.

Now what kind of business is that going to bring me?

The keywords don't even work.

I contacted Dotless Domain and he said that he will not give me my money back and added "I always win".

They are in Las Vegas Nevada and I have to check on the small claims court laws there. I will take them to court.

ForeverYoung 3 years ago

I'm another one who got scammed for over $2000 thinking that I would be getting all these leads for my site. Right! Learned my lesson about checking first. They are getting so many subscribers (to whom they are giving phony IP addresses) that we should be able to get together and do something legally. If anyone has any ideas, go to my website, contact me, and I'll participate!

I told them my CC company disputed the charges as I had records from my 2 stat trackers that I never received hits or customers as promised! MY CC Company stood by me! NOW I am not sure if s4tn is trying to reclaim this? :( What a nightmare.. Makes NO sense I never received anything for 4,000

We too, just found out last Sunday from a savy computer friend that we had been scammed by them and their parent company Webmenu. We lost $2,985 for the 3 lines for our business - sent CC Check in Aug. 19 by FedX. I am just starting to put information together. www.mlmwatchdog.com was very good in providing the order. I have sent Rob Cook an email detailing my story. Rob will be in Las Vegas the end of Oct for a MLM Convention which will have the best MLM lawyer there, Jeff Babener, and Mike Sheffield who set up our compensation plan at XZIEX. IF you all are interested lets hook up online. cpeterson888@hotmail.com

HELL i'll probably get more traffic from this post then from them LOL

I used to work for USA SEO PROS, they are definately a SCAM! They cheat innocent people out of their hard earned money and I have never seen one client satisfied with the service, why you might ask.... BECAUSE IT DOESNT WORK! Please dont get scammed with this company, and if you already have file a complaint with the BBB and contact the Nevada Attorney Generals office ASAP! This company needs to be recognized for the scammers they are!

Jessica 3 years ago

I forgot to mention, if you have already been scammed by USA SEO PROS, CHARGE BACK! Get your money back!!!!! Do everything in your power to get your money back you dont deserve to be cheated by a company who cheats their employees and treats their clients with no respect!

youre absolutely right Jessica, and the worst part about it is that they cost alot of people money by going around clicking on their google ads and so forth.

Next time you get a call from USASEOPROS or S4TN why not let them know, if they clicked on your google ad, they probably cost you $1-$2 so they could try and sell you their crap.

Then say, I know its not your fault, but I feel for you, as you have to sell this scam !

Rick

PS anyone heard of 1st web search, anyone know if they are legit ?

I called the scammers about no traffic to my sight. They said we promised views not clicks. My system provides me every click on my sight so I'll be comparing notes and doing everything I can to smear them and get my $$ back. Here's a funny thing. I typed in my keyword Best Online Businesses and my site DID come up. I asked friends to do it on Google, etc. and I was no where to be found! I'm not techie savy but wonder if they somehow have my IP address to be sure it shows up on MY COMPUTER! AND THEY DID TELL ME CLICKS NOT VIEWS! LIARS LIARS

I received a call from Dotless Domain and bought. I told them I would pay by check and I had to fill out my bank information on line. They scheduled a Fed Ex pick up for the next day to pick up my check. 30 minutes I called to cancel and was told I could not cancel. I got phone calls and an e mail saying they would sue me since there was a no cnacellation clause in the contract. The guy from accounting was very rude. He said he would cancel the Fed Ex but he didn't. I got a call from Fed Ex driver wanting to know my apt number.. Good thing I wasn't home. I called driver back and told him the pick up was supposed to be canceled and there is nothing to be picked up. They are so eager and hard up for the money. That is a red flag that it is a scam. They finally quit bugging me and I never did get sued.

I joined a new MLM company, GeneWize Life Sciences, 10 days ago, and a few days after joining I was contacted by dotless domain. They really prey on people just getting started. In fact, I think that I will post a warning on our forum.

The system that was described sounded very much like a system, solutions 4 the net, that was introduced to me when I started with AmeriPlan a few years ago. At that time it was outside of my budget. It also didn't make sense why someone would necessarily use their tool bar vs. just going to Google or Yahoo in the first place.

I told the caller that I had been able to achieve #1 in Google for a couple of terms with my www.healthplansplus.net website just using a $50 web creator program and some SEO.

I humored her and listened to her presentation. As I thought, this looked like the same system, that I had seen a few years ago. They try to do a hard sell and then pass you to the guy who supposedly will give you a good deal. As soon as I said that it was too expensive for me, the salesman lost complete interest. They are really out to get $1000s from you. I later looked up dotless domain on rip-off report and saw what a scam they were. I called the lady back and told her don't ever call here again.

Thanks for the GREAT service on this DOTLESSDOMAIN.COM SCAM in Las Vegas, Rick. I see that they are still at it - SCAMMING people. Fortunately, some of you found this site and did NOT pay them. Jocko, IF you would like to email me. I emailed Jessica at her email. I have heard from Cheryl and Diane, and 6 others from Scam.com. I ACTUALLY VISITED their place on Paradise Rd. back in Nov. to see their "boiler room" operation. THEY WERE SURPRISED!! Filed with the BBB while in Las Vegas, but that led to a DEAD END, as the company would NOT make any RESOLUION. WE need to go to the AG of NV. and your home state AG, plus the Nevada Consumer Affairs Division with our information. THEY REALLY NEED TO BE PUT OUT OF BUSINESS, FINED BIG TIME, right. My email can be found from the post at waterfromair, 3 months ago above. Thanks for your interest. Chuck

hey guys, i got scammed for $3700 with usa seo pros, and been struggling every since. soo much stress, i know this is a lesson learned. after doing so many months of research, i realize that they own the sites that the key words are optimized on. there's no way we can be on Google, Yahoo, MSN. have anyone ever gotten a refund? please help with any advice. i'm looking into requesting a judge to subpoena records from their data base to interview all their clients, or should i say victims. get a class action law suit going.

i heard cloud nine been shut down or bankrupted before. they have so many names they're using. Business Development Institute. USA SEO Pros. USA Sub Pros. S4TN. Kajoe.com Jooper.com FSN Search.com

if you noticed, lately because of us posting blogs about their scams, they are posting up positive stuff about themselves, and BS blogs so when people research USA SEO Pros, it's their garbage they wrote.

usaseopros has NOTHING to do with this s4tn or dotless domain company. usaseopros does search engine optimization where dotless domain has a toolbar you install and if you have it your website pops up on top of the search engines. i got a call from both of them for my nikken business, i couldn't afford either but still did research because i wanted to consider it when i had the money. i read through all these comments and people are mistaking this company dotless domain for usaseopros. they are not the same people. i can't comment on them being a scam because i haven't tried it but i can comment on the mistaken identity.

I am so glad that I found this site. Dotlessdomains called me today and I was seriously thinking of doing it. It really looked so good. However, I can not stand pushy sales people, so I would not do it. They kept on and on with me. I knew that I had to do my research and I am so happy that I did. If anyone has any legitimate advice on how to market my products, please let me know at sheatinasparks@myoxyfresh.net. thanks again

I have a HEALTHY CHOCOLATE business...

I had Dotless Domain call me yesterday and I had never heard of them but because I am building my business part time and I do telephone prospecting for a living, I respected that the woman (SARA) Was energetic and it might be worth seeing the demo...so Demo was done for me today and I noticed that the girl AND the other guy (John) both kept using closed ended questions like...."It's a great results oriented and exciting system ... ISN'T IT?" HOW Amateur!! LOL But I kept listening and then AFTER they had piled on the "benefits" and slooooowly started applying pressure with the "While we're on the phone we can guarantee not selling these search terms" ..... By the way the "LET ME CHECK For ongoing promotions while you hold" is soooooo phony ugggh!

Well once they told me the "terms" and "guarantees" for signing up.....then when I said it is not in my financial scope at this time, PLUS being in network marketing I ONLY Want to do that which I KNOW is DUPLICATABLE...Then ANOTHER Guy "Jason" sounding rather haughty and high pressured and "ultimatum" like....offered me ANOTHER deal...then when I said no he abruptly pulled the "take it away from them" card meaning he said "Well when you are ready to make some BIG DOLLARS Be sure to contact us" I almost had to laugh out loud...BECAUSE By this time I realized that they for sure were high pressure ... then JUST OUT OF Curiousity I googled "dotless domain scam" and I am sooooooo glad I found this page...I mean not like I would throw down thousands anyways....BUT STILL THANK YOU TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR COMMENTS!!!!

I WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER EVER Take a call from these scam artists again!!!!!!

I received a call from Dotless Domain and reluctantly gave them a credit card to hold the contract. I told them I would pay by check and I had to fill out my bank information on line. They scheduled a Fed Ex pick up for the next day to pick up my check. The next day I called to cancel and was told I could not cancel. I got phone calls and an e mail saying they would sue me since there was a no cnacellation clause in the contract. Tim James from accounting was very rude. He said he would cancel the Fed Ex but he didn't. The Fed Ex driver showed up at my business the next day and told him I would not give him a check. Good thing I didn't. So the next day I get this email that says they will take me to collections and file a lien on my credit. I called and told him that if that is the way they do business to go ahead, because I will have nothing to do with them. I run a very reputable team and was looking for a way to duplicate some massive traffic. They are so eager and hard up for the money that they will do anything to scare you into giving them the money! That is a red flag that it is a scam. I immediately logged into your site and found all these posts. I see the same thing happened to Valerie D and will try to contact her to see if the ever went through with any more of their threats. She did mention that they finally quit bugging her and never did get sued. I can only pray that they do not attack my excellent credit record.

Thanks for all you do here

Anyone scammed by them, file reports with S. Nevada BBB (D+ rating) and the FTC. Help these agencies develop a pattern of fraud perpretated by them. Tell your stories to the media. On top of unethical Terms of Service and strong arm selling tactics, they practice black hat SEO, which can get your website banned from search engines altogether. Don't answer calls from usaseopros(dot)com, Business Development Institute, BDI. Put these scammers out of business for good!

I posted above about Dotless Domain being a scam. I don't see where anyone took them to small claims court.

What is stopping you? I am in another state on the other coast but am mad enough to do it.

Am I wasting my time? Has anyone else considered it?

I served an insurance company with small claims court papers and they quickly settled out of court.

Dotless Domain has a no refund policy, but how can that hold up when what we bought was defective? When I typed my key words in the search field, I got: "associate cannot be found". :-(

Question again: "Has anyone taken Dotless Domain to small claims court?"

I got scammed to. I disputed with my credit card and they reversed the charges. I provided screen shot evidence that I did not receive 10,000 page views to each of my key phrases within 6 months and that they breached their contract by not giving me another 6 months.

Dotless Domain sent a rebuttal saying they have evidence that they did provide 10,000 page views and that it was included in their rebuttal but guess what? They didn't include that proof...probably because it doesn't exist.

I'm sending my documents again and praying that my credit card company will do the right thing and side with me.

If anyone ever knows of a class action law suit, include me.

Frequently Asked Advertising Questions: A Guide for Small Business

GENERAL ADVERTISING POLICIES

What truth-in-advertising rules apply to advertisers?

Under the Federal Trade Commission Act:

* Advertising must be truthful and non-deceptive;

* Advertisers must have evidence to back up their claims; and

* Advertisements cannot be unfair.

Additional laws apply to ads for specialized products like consumer leases, credit, 900 telephone numbers, and products sold through mail order or telephone sales. And every state has consumer protection laws that govern ads running in that state.

What makes an advertisement deceptive?

According to the FTC's Deception Policy Statement, an ad is deceptive if it contains a statement - or omits information - that:

* Is likely to mislead consumers acting reasonably under the circumstances; and

* Is "material" - that is, important to a consumer's decision to buy or use the product.

What makes an advertisement unfair?

According to the Federal Trade Commission Act and the FTC's Unfairness Policy Statement, an ad or business practice is unfair if:

* it causes or is likely to cause substantial consumer injury which a consumer could not reasonably avoid; and

* it is not outweighed by the benefit to consumers.

How does the FTC determine if an ad is deceptive?

A typical inquiry follows these steps:

*

The FTC looks at the ad from the point of view of the "reasonable consumer" - the typical person looking at the ad. Rather than focusing on certain words, the FTC looks at the ad in context - words, phrases, and pictures - to determine what it conveys to consumers.

*

The FTC looks at both "express" and "implied" claims. An express claim is literally made in the ad. For example, "ABC Mouthwash prevents colds" is an express claim that the product will prevent colds. An implied claim is one made indirectly or by inference. "ABC Mouthwash kills the germs that cause colds" contains an implied claim that the product will prevent colds. Although the ad doesn't literally say that the product prevents colds, it would be reasonable for a consumer to conclude from the statement "kills the germs that cause colds" that the product will prevent colds. Under the law, advertisers must have proof to back up express and implied claims that consumers take from an ad.

*

The FTC looks at what the ad does not say - that is, if the failure to include information leaves consumers with a misimpression about the product. For example, if a company advertised a collection of books, the ad would be deceptive if it did not disclose that consumers actually would receive abridged versions of the books.

*

The FTC looks at whether the claim would be "material" - that is, important to a consumer's decision to buy or use the product. Examples of material claims are representations about a product's performance, features, safety, price, or effectiveness.

* The FTC looks at whether the advertiser has sufficient evidence to support the claims in the ad. The law requires that advertisers have proof before the ad runs.

What kind of evidence must a company have to support the claims in its ads?

Before a company runs an ad, it has to have a "reasonable basis" for the claims. A "reasonable basis" means objective evidence that supports the claim. The kind of evidence depends on the claim. At a minimum, an advertiser must have the level of evidence that it says it has. For example, the statement "Two out of three doctors recommend ABC Pain Reliever" must be supported by a reliable survey to that effect. If the ad isn't specific, the FTC looks at several factors to determine what level of proof is necessary, including what experts in the field think is needed to support the claim. In most cases, ads that make health or safety claims must be supported by "competent and reliable scientific evidence" - tests, studies, or other scientific evidence that has been evaluated by people qualified to review it. In addition, any tests or studies must be conducted using methods that experts in the field accept as accurate.

Are letters from satisfied customers sufficient to substantiate a claim?

No. Statements from satisfied customers usually are not sufficient to support a health or safety claim or any other claim that requires objective evaluation.

My company offers a money-back guarantee. Very few people have ever asked for their money back. Must we still have proof to support our advertising claims?

Yes. Offering a money-back guarantee is not a substitute for substantiation. Advertisers still must have proof to support their claims.

What kind of advertising claims does the FTC focus on?

The FTC pays closest attention to:

* Ads that make claims about health or safety, such as:

ABC Sunscreen will reduce the risk of skin cancer.

ABC Water Filters remove harmful chemicals from tap water.

ABC Chainsaw's safety latch reduces the risk of injury.

* Ads that make claims that consumers would have trouble evaluating for themselves, such as:

ABC Refrigerators will reduce your energy costs by 25%.

ABC Gasoline decreases engine wear.

ABC Hairspray is safe for the ozone.

Ads that make subjective claims or claims that consumers can judge for themselves (for example, "ABC Cola tastes great") receive less attention from the FTC.

How does the FTC decide what cases to bring?

The FTC weighs several factors, including:

* FTC jurisdiction. Although the FTC has jurisdiction over ads for most products and services, Congress has given other government agencies the authority to investigate advertising by airlines, banks, insurance companies, common carriers, and companies that sell securities and commodities.

* The geographic scope of the advertising campaign. The FTC concentrates on national advertising and usually refers local matters to state, county, or city agencies.

* The extent to which an ad represents a pattern of deception, rather than an individual dispute between a consumer and a business or a dispute between two competitors. State or local consumer protection agencies or private groups such as the Better Business Bureau (BBB) often are in a better position to resolve disputes involving local businesses or local advertising. To get the address and phone number of your state Attorney General's office, your local consumer agency, or the nearest BBB, check your telephone directory.

* The amount of injury - to consumers' health, safety, or wallets - that could result if consumers rely on the deceptive claim. The FTC concentrates on cases that could affect consumers' health or safety (for example, deceptive health claims for foods or over-the-counter drugs) or cases that result in widespread economic injury.

What penalties can be imposed against a company that runs a false or deceptive ad?

The penalties depend on the nature of the violation. The remedies that the FTC or the courts have imposed include:

* Cease and desist orders. These legally-binding orders require companies to stop running the deceptive ad or engaging in the deceptive practice, to have substantiation for claims in future ads, to report periodically to FTC staff about the substantiation they have for claims in new ads, and to pay a fine of $16,000 per day per ad if the company violates the law in the future.

* Civil penalties, consumer redress and other monetary remedies. Civil penalties range from thousands of dollars to millions of dollars, depending on the nature of the violation. Sometimes advertisers have been ordered to give full or partial refunds to all consumers who bought the product.

* Corrective advertising, disclosures and other informational remedies. Advertisers have been required to take out new ads to correct the misinformation conveyed in the original ad, notify purchasers about deceptive claims in ads, include specific disclosures in future ads, or provide other information to consumers.

Will the FTC review my company's ads before they run to make sure that we've complied with the law?

Beware of findyoursearch(dot)com. usaseopros(dot)com is rebranding as findyoursearch(dot)com. Please be wary – same website, different name and logo. Ignore phone calls from them! They phoned even after they'd been reported to BBB Vegas and FTC!!
